Daddy long legs

Recently my 2yo looked up at the ceiling in her room and saw a small daddy longlegs and screeched - I'm scared of the daddy long legs. My 6 yo responded - that's not a daddy long legs - that's just a mummy short legs!!

TV wearing a burqua - he said "look mummy - it's a ninja girl!"

We have been looking at acreage properties lately and yesterday we went to look at one with a chookpen. As we were leaving my 2.5yo daughter turned and waved at the chickens and say "goodbye chicken nuggets!"

Recently we were driving passed the Caboolture airport and I spotted a person parachuting. I turned to my son and said "look there's a man with a parachute." He looked everywhere and said "mum, I don't see a man shooting a bird!"

One of my absolute favourite "funny things that kids say" would have to be when my niece was told that I was pregnant with my first child. She asked her father "how do you know she is pregnant?". He answered "because your uncle told me". She thought about this for a moment before replying "but he's not a doctor!!"
